Page at a Glance:
Overview:
Salaries and wages are monetary compensation paid to UCSD employees working on a project. Personnel may include faculty, researchers, visiting scholars, staff, and graduate students.
Projected applicable cost-of-living and merit increases should be applied in accordance with annual guidance provided by the UC Office of the President, Research Administration Office (UC OP/RAO). Please Note: Per UC OP/RAO, this is still the currently suggested guidance for proposal preparation.
For Academic Faculty, Other Academic, and Staff on Step-Based Pay Plans, separately budget for cost-of-living allowances and then add merit increases where applicable.
For Staff on Merit-Based Pay Plans, budget an average increase with no separate calculations for cost-of-living allowances and merit.
